As you know, Chris Charlton will complete her term as District Lead Volunteer in June. Chris has done an outstanding job as District Lead Volunteer and this year Ormskirk celebrates a fantastic 4.8% growth in membership under her leadership. I am sure you will want to join me in thanking Chris for her service.
It is now time to look to the future, to identify a new District Lead Volunteer for Ormskirk & District, who will build on the District’s many strengths and continue the excellent work already ongoing. To that end, I have asked Ginny Gregg-Auriac from the Trustee Board to chair a small search group to advise me on my appointment.
We are now inviting nominations and applications for Chris’ successor from across the District and further afield. I’d encourage you to fully engage in this process by making nominations to support the work of the search group.
With this email we’ve attached the role pack which outlines details about the role and skills required. Parts of the role can be delegated to the leadership team and a full induction programme, training and support, including allocation of a mentor, is offered to all District Lead Volunteers.
We are looking for someone with the passion, drive and people skills to support volunteers across Ormskirk and help drive the District forward. As members of the District, you are best-placed to identify potential candidates for the role. As such, we encourage all members to make nominations, and welcome self- nominations.
