Skills for Life
As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with Skills for Life. We encourage young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, we help over 10,000 young people across West Lancashire enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future.
The Scouts are the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation; West Lancashire Scouts is one of the largest Scout Counties in the UK with a total membership of over 13,000 and growing.
Whether you are 6 or 66, it’s never too late to become a Scout. Visit our ‘Want to Join’ page to find out more.
The County is led by the County Commissioner who is supported by the County Executive (Board of Trustees) who ensures that the charity meets in financial and regulatory responsibilities. To execute those responsibilities the County Executive has a number of sub-committees:
- Appointments Advisory Committee
- Digital and Data Committee
- Finance and Fundraising Committee
- Staffing Committee
- Strategy Implementation Group
- Waddecar Management Committee
