Could you bravely lead?
Applications will soon open to for the leadership team of West Lancashire’s Jamboree Unit which will take 36 young people on the adventure of a lifetime to the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027. “Bravely” is the Jamboree theme, with which we aim to inspire young people to act courageously for the future of humanity and the planet. The Major Events Group of West Lancashire Scouts is looking to recruit a strong team of 4 individuals from across the county who will be responsible for supporting, preparing and leading our Jamboree unit to the World Scout Jamboree. West Lancashire has a strong and proud tradition in supporting successful Jamboree units which is rooted in the appointment of strong leadership teams. If this is something you would like to continue and be part of then we want to hear from you. The online application will be open from 1st-30th May 2025. More information can be found here.
Timeline of the application process:
1 May Online Application open
30 May Deadline for receipt of applications
2 June Invitations issued to selection event
7 June Unit Leader selection event
12 July Deputy Unit Leader/Team Member selection event
Please note the successful candidate to be appointed Unit Leader must be available for both selection events of Unit Leader and Deputy Unit Leader/Team Members.
