We are currently looking to recruit the lead volunteer for this trip and a number of assistants.

Where is this trip going to?
The final location will be chosen by the leadership team prior to recruiting young people. The vision for this trip is to get back to delivering big mountain trips, high altitude, great scenery.

How much commitment will this trip be?
This trip will undoubtedly be a very rewarding experience for both leaders and participants. To make this trip the best it can be, it will require adults to give up a number of evenings for planning and as well as trip meet ups and training weekends. Leader’s attendance is required at all training events and planning meetings, but these will be scheduled around leader’s availability.
How much will this trip cost?
This is hugely variable at this stage and it’s difficult to estimate as the destination will have a big impact. Nepal could be £3000 where as Europe could bd £1000. The final figure will be dependent on the trips budget and will be calculated in line with the International Events Team’s Leader Fee Policy. Leaders will have the opportunity to seek financial support if they feel they need it from a variety of sources, including from the Scout Association’s Overseas Fund.
How many leaders are we looking to recruit?
We are currently looking to recruit the trip leader and 4 assistants although the final number will be subject to discussions with the trip leader.
