💚 What Does a Trustee Board Member Do?
A Trustee Board Member helps make sure our charity is run safely, legally, and in line with The Scout Association's policies.
As a charity trustee, you won't be directly leading camping trips or teaching knot tying. Instead, you will work collaboratively with other friendly volunteers as part of the Trustee Board.
🎯 The Role
📈 Strategy & Performance - Helping guide the direction of the group to support youth growth and development.
✅ Assurance - Making sure risks are assessed, mitigated, and legal requirements are met.
💼 Resource Management - Helping oversee finances, property, and equipment.
📣 Communications - Giving oversight to how our brand and positioning is executed.
🙌 Who Are We Looking For?
We need:
✅ A proactive attitude
✅ A willingness to help
✅ Curiosity and the confidence to ask questions
✅ People who care about making a difference
We don't need prior experience.
You must be over 18, but you do not need any particular qualifications, and full training and support are provided.
You need to be curious, ask questions, and care – that's all.
