13th Oct 2026

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of hosting a very special joint 100th birthday celebration for Muriel Freestone and Jean Frew at Waddecar Scout Activity Centre!

Both of these remarkable ladies have been instrumental in West Lancashire Scouts for many years, dedicating their time, energy and passion to Scouting and positively influencing the lives of countless young people along the way.

Many people across West Lancs will know Jean & Muriel and the remarkable contribution to Scouting is they've made over the years which is is immeasurable, and the legacy they have created will continue to inspire generations to come.

It was a real honour to welcome everyone to Waddecar to celebrate two incredible milestones and two truly inspirational ladies.

Happy 100th Birthday, Muriel and Jean!

Thank you both for everything you have done for Scouting.
