LASU is West Lancashire Scouts’ dedicated land activities team, offering awesome experiences in climbing, hillwalking, caving, and mountain biking. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to earn Scout permits, badges, and qualifications, LASU provides excellent training and assessment to help you and your young people get out in the hills.

The Land Activity Support Unit (LASU) welcomes anyone aged 18 and over who’s keen to get involved in land-based adventure. Whether your interests are in caving, climbing, hill walking, or mountain biking, there’s a place for you on the team. No prior qualifications are needed – just a passion for the outdoors and supporting others.

We offer opportunities to develop your skills, work towards qualifications, and take part in a variety of adventurous activities. LASU also runs social events and expeditions that bring our members together for shared challenges and fun.
