West Lancs is taking our Red Rose event overseas once more – to the mountains and lakes of Canada in August 2026.
RR26 will promise a fantastic varied programme of Adventure, Culture, Water Activities, Exploration and of course lots and lots of fun. We’ll be taking the magic and excitement of our domestic Red Rose experience and transporting it to a truly magnificent part of the world, offering a once in a lifetime Scouting opportunity for many.
The broad plan: We will fly as a contingent to Canada with participants bringing their own lightweight tents with them. The event will be centrally catered by Red Rose staff. Subcamps will be formed and a rotational programme undertaken for both daytime and nightime activities. We will seek to maximise the opportunity to utilise to local area for our programme and also to link with local Canadian groups.
The trip will be available for Scouts and Explorers and their leaders, and to an adult staff team comprised of the various departments.
We expect the trip to be 10 days (8 days programme and 2 travel days).
The cost of the event for participants and staff is £2250
