To Group Scout Leaders, Acting Group Scout Leaders, Deputy Group Scout Leaders and District Explorer Scout Commissioners (As recorded on compass)
I hope you are keeping well. Following on from the success of the GSL Conference last year, I write with details for this year’s event, which will be held on Zoom on Saturday 27th February.
This event is a great opportunity for Group Scout Leaders and District Explorer Scout Commissioners to come together and share good practice. Whilst we will be online this year we will be using a range of technology to ensure that we have a productive and interactive day.
Whilst we are finalising details of our programme, I can confirm that the following elements will be part of the day:
- An update from HQ, from a member of Team UK
- County Updates
- Discussion Groups
- A Series of Workshops
We will obviously also include some social activities to ensure that we have lots of fun throughout the day too. The day will run from 9.30am until 4pm, with lots of breaks along the way.
At this stage, we are asking you to do two things:
1) Complete the form to confirm whether you can/cannot make the event.
2) Share any suggestions that you have for workshops. We want to make sure the event supports you in your role, so if there are any topics you’d like us to cover, then please share them with us.
I look forward to seeing you on the 27th February for a fun and productive day, where we can focus on seizing the opportunities that 2021 presents, and focus on rebuilding and reenergising our movement after the challenges of 2020. Joining details will be sent after registration closes on the 7th February.
